Mikulov: a photo story

Mikulov is a small town in Breclav District in the South Moravian region and it borders Austria. It may be a small town but it has a significant part in Czech Republic’s history. In the more recent history of the country, Mikulov had a significant amount of Jewish population who during War World 2 were massacred. Simultaneously, there was a large population of Germans who after War World 2 were expelled from the city.

Today, if you visit Mikulov you can walk through beautiful medieval streets, visit the Jewish quarter, and the Mikulov castle that dates back to the 13th century.
